The dreamer, the rebel, the screen goddess. The girl who loved too much, the woman who learned not to. The muse. Or the one you could never forget. Will you recognize her when she walks in?
Evangeline is an ode to the women who have shaped our imagination for decades: figures of cinema and stage, poised somewhere between innocence and desire, elegance and mischief. The kind of women who seem to know that identity itself can be a role, and that beauty is often a performance.
On March 21th, the ground floor hall of the Museum of Recent Art (MARe) opens its doors to an evening that moves gently between art and celebration. A gathering where silhouettes drift through soft red light, conversations unfold like scenes, and the dance floor slowly becomes the heart of the story.
Presented by Rosumovi and SWANS IN THE CITY, Evangeline draws quiet inspiration from the iconic heroines of cinema and from the work of Cindy Sherman, -an artist who built an entire universe from the space between a woman and her reflection.
Music by DJ Cristache carries the night forward: a rhythm that invites movement, closeness, and the simple pleasure of dancing together.
