She once believed that moving out of the apartment on Belgrad Street would close the most intense chapter of her life. That thought had comforted her back then, long ago, as she packed her things into big cardboard boxes, taking inventory of the  emotions she’d lived there too.

Years later, one summer evening, she returned to discover that the beautiful interwar apartment had become a restaurant. Her bedroom was gone. The white bed beneath the tall window. The quiet mornings overlooking the garden. The endless expectations and the beautiful life she used to imagine.

She steps back into the night. Yet something had to remain…

Somewhere between the spaces that once held us and our restless search for intimacy, the city we return to in September becomes the stage for La Notte – an evening at the gallery, dim lights, a jazzy hum and subtle glamour slowly giving way to dancing.

During the evening, guests will discover Galeria Jecza și Olaru’s exhibition SELFISH, where the body becomes territory – identity, vulnerability, return. Bringing together Dumitrița Răzlog, Mihnea Dămăceanu and Theodor Pallady, the exhibition connects three artists separated by time and approach, yet united by a shared sensitivity to the body as a site of tension between what is shown and what remains, necessarily, withheld.

From presence to the spaces that surround it, SELFISH enters a quiet dialogue with ROSUMOVI around intimacy, inhabitation and the traces of experience.
